Much of our history goes unrecorded and, sadly, is lost forever. We owe it to future generations of Maltese and Gozitan men and women to tell them about their past because today's events are tomorrow's history.

 

Your story of living and loving forms part of our communal history. Make sure it is not lost to future generations.

 

HOW YOU CAN HELP

 

 Do you know anything or anyone of significance to the gay and lesbian story?

 

Have you come across any hilarious or not so hilarious incidents relevant to the gay and lesbian experience? 

 

Do you wear 'drag'? Have you ever taken part in any 'beauty contest'?

 

Have you been charged, harassed or interrogated by the police because of your sexual orientation?

 

Were you involved with any gay or lesbian group?

 

Do you know of any cases of clerical (homo) sexual abuse? Have you been a victim of such abuse?

 

Do you have any photographs or documents about anything or anyone of relevance to the gay and lesbian story?

 

Some of the photographs included in "Queer Mediterranean Memories" were on the point of being torn and thrown away. Two photographs - one of them dating back to the 1930s - were recovered from garbage bins.
